The Never Have I Ever Tag + Special Survey

Today I thought that it was high time I destroyed yet another tag. I don’t where I get such great ideas in my head guys, but they sorta just happen, and so today I’ll be answering the ‘Never Have I Ever Tag’! Plus, there’s going to be a special survey at the end!

Let’s get started!Screen Shot 2019-02-10 at 2.39.03 PM

The Rules:

  1. Link and thank the blogger who tagged you. Thank you so much Caleb for tagging me!
  2. Include the graphic somewhere in your post (or make your own). Done and done!
  3. Answer the questions truthfully and honestly. *salutes* will do!
  4. Tag 3 bloggers. Hahaha…easy.

Okay guys, let’s DO this!

Never Have I Ever…

Started a Novel That I didn’t Finish

Errrrrr…well.

*coughs*

I’ve started and not finished a few novels in my lifetime.

tenor.gif

IknowIknowIknow, I’m probably a disgrace to us bookwyrms, but sometimes either a book was so boring, so stupid, or so bad, that I had make myself put it down.

Written a Novel Completely By Hand

Actually, shocker, I have!

I had to do most of my writing by hand eons ago, because for a while there I didn’t know how to type, and also because I think we all shared one computer or something and it was mostly for school?

I can’t really remember though guys, I’m too old.

Changed My Protagonist Name Halfway Through the  Draft

Oh wow no.

I always take special care to match up my character’s names with the character, and once I’m doing with that, that’s it-my brain can’t compute with putting another name to that character.

Written a Story in a Month or Less

Depends on what kind of story we’re talking about. A school story? Give me a week and I’m done. A novel? Uhhh how about a few years? *blinks eyelashes innocently*

Fallen Asleep While Writing

I can’t recall ever doing this (although maybe I’d be too asleep to remember). Usually whenever I write I’m super upbeat and excited about it, so there’s no room for falling asleep!

Corrected Someone’s Grammar In Real Life/Online

Mostly, no, but when one of my friends makes a really funny mistake, I will mercilessly tease them for the next minute.

Yelled In All Caps At Myself In the Middle of a Novel

Uh, YES?

…Mostly it’s me telling myself to cut out that part though.

Used ‘I’m Writing’ As an Excuse

wish, but nope, that would never work for me I’m afraid.

Killed a Character That was Based on Someone I Know in Real Life

You…you really think I’m…I’m that. evil?

tumblr_p3g3m6jSOJ1wh3kojo2_250.gif

Just kidding, I am.

*everyone spits out their drinks*

Okay, I haven’t actually done that, but honestly one day I might.

Just kidding!

sorta…

Used Pop Culture References In a Story

Uhm.

Well.

The fact that I had to look up what a pop culture reference is signifies…no, no I have not.

Written Between the Hours of 1 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Well that’s oddly specific.

When-you-get-home-you-really-have-idea-what-do-next.gif

But NOPE, I have not, because sleep is wonderful, thank you very much.

Sorry writing.

Drank an Entire Pot of Coffee While Writing

(The first time I saw this question I thought it meant, like, drinking straight from the coffee pot or something?)

My answer is no, again. I love coffee, though I’m not crazy for it (like, I only have about half a cup if I do have any at all). Also, whenever I get my coffee I just chug it. I’m not exactly one for savouring things.

Written Down Dreams to Use in Potential Novels

Fun fact? The novel I’ve been writing for the past few years has been based off of a dream.

So YES, I have (and still do!) do this.

Honestly I’d be surprised if a writer didn’t get inspiration from their dreams. we get inspiration from weirder things, anyway.

Published an Unedited Story on the Internet/My Blog/Wattpad

NEVER HAVE I EVER.

giphy copy.gif

Haha sorry, it’s just that I’ve never published my writing anywhere (except for this blog), and I most certainly don’t do it unedited.

Procrastinated Homework/Schoolwork Because I Wanted to Write

I mean…*coughs*…it doesn’t happen often.

Like, at all.

But, like maybe once…or twice…or three times? …okay yeah I’ve done it before.

Typed (or Handwritten) So Long That My Wrist Hurts

YES. I’ve typed out/edited blog posts so long that my wrists die, and I used to write so many science notes that my wrist would also…die.

how very descriptive, Mary

I thought about becoming ambidextrous, but it really just doesn’t look the same on paper as in your head, ya know?

And so ended my ambidextrous days.

Spilled a Drink on My Laptop/Computer (or notebook or Typwriter) While Writing

I can’t recall spilling a drink on my computer, although maybe I placed it on some wet stuff on a table a few times, but I most definitely have spilled drinks on my notebooks before. And also library books.

I know.

I’m a monster.

*disappears under table*

Forgotten to Save My Work/Draft

NOOOOOO…

I mean, yes, I have, but…*sniffles* this is too emotional for me…

Finished Writing a Novel

YES, I have!

The novel I’m re-writing right now, I actually finished back at the end of 2017, with 90, 757 words on page 195 and chapter 33. I know that’s actually not a whole lot, but considering I had just turned, like, 11, that’s pretty good if I do say so myself!

Laughed Like an Evil Villain While Writing a Scene

Uhm, YES

I do that ALL THE TIME…especially during blog posts for some reason.

Cried While Writing a Scene

Oh MAN yes. I’m a pretty rough person to get emotions by, but I remember one time,  all that evil stuff I do to my characters suddenly caved in on me while writing a super dramatic sad scene I teared up a bit.

Created Maps of my Fictional Worlds

Definitely! I LOVE creating maps of my worlds! It just makes them feel…so much more solid, you know?

Researched Something Shady for my Novel

Oooh yeah I have.

*flips down sunglasses*

tenor-1.gif

…oh, you probably want to know what, I guess.

Well I went on a sprint YEARS ago where I learned about the anatomy of swords. Very interesting stuff, but things got more shady later on. I ended up researching certain things, like what kind of wound you would get if this specific sword struck you right there in that certain spot.

Let’s just say, after hearing about that stuff, I got sick to my stomach and never did it again. (although recently I’ve been coming back and reading a lot about writing fight scenes, as well as doing a post or two on it.) ( I think I’m overdo for one, though, wouldn’t you say?)

And Now Foorrrrrr *Drumroll* The 3 People I’m Tagging!

(I tried my best to find three people who still do tags on their blog, and who haven’t done this one yet. I’m sorry if any three of you have ever done this before, I tried my best to check if you haven’t!).

Chalice @ Lionhearted Art

Edna Pellen @ Bleeding Ink

Evelyn @ The Rain Drenched Writer

You @ Your Blog

Okay, that’s four people technically speaking…OH WELL. We’ll just count that as the thing I cheated at this time, I guess?

  1. Thanks for the tag, Mary! Been seeing this one go around for a while… just waiting, haha. 😆
Loved reading your answers! The image of drinking straight out of a coffee pot while writing… 😂😂
    Great post!

  2. I always have mixed feelings when one of those tags come around. Part of me wishes I was tagged, but part of hopes I won’t because I think my answers will not be interesting enough and because finding even 3 people to tag is quite a tough goal because there are… at most 10 bloggers with which I’d be comfortable tagging. And one of them is automatically disqualified by being the one who tags me…
But I try to answer those questions at least to myself.

    1. Definitely Tomas! You can always do this tag if you’d like, even if I didn’t nominate you. Plus, I personally nominate people based on how those people answer those certain questions, not exactly on how interesting it would be, although sometimes really funny stuff comes from them 😂. Yes, totally! Even just answering the questions in your head is fun too.
      Thank you for reading!
